The Amazon World Zoo is situated between Newport and Sandown on the Isle of Wight, England. The zoo generally features unique wildlife from South America, such as giant anteaters, tamarins and marmosets, ocelots and parrots. It also is residence to the largest variety of toucans in the United Kingdom. Even with having nine varieties, such as the rare plate-billed mountain-toucan, no really serious efforts are made to reproduce their toucans, and none have access to outdoor aviaries.
The zoo keeps the only Brazilian porcupine and paca on general public show in the UK, likewise these are maintained in simple cement enclosures made to look like the inside of a Mayan temple instead of a rainforest atmosphere. Even so, Amazon World has had extensive achievement in reproducing the tamandua and two-toed sloth, both species that do not reproduce easily in other collections.
Animals in Amazon World Zoo Park is home of large variety of Mammals, Birds, Reptiles, Insects, Spiders, Fish, Amphabians, and Plants.
