Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium is the biggest marine aquarium in central Melbourne, Australia. The aquarium is home to 1000’s of marine animals. SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium takes you on an interactive journey from the depths of the ocean to the icy waters of Antarctica.
It’s situated on the banks of the Yarra River alongside and under the Flinders Street Viaduct and the King Street Bridge. The attraction is a Sea Life Centre owned by Merlin Entertainments.
The gorgeous Croc Lair exhibit is just one of 12 zones at this aquarium. Where you can see the world’s only exhibit of Elephant Sharks in Bay of Rays. The underwater trip carries on into the depths of Australia’s sea where a wonderful heaven is waiting for in Mermaid Garden. Experience the spectacular view of huge stingrays, large sharks and thousands of multi-colored underwater creatures swimming by.
Penguin Playground finishes the memorable experience where visitors can amazing as the majestic King and cheeky Gentoo Penguins slip and slide across the snow-covered ice.
How to get there :
Tram : The Aquarium super-stop is located on the free City Circle Tram route and also Route 48, 70 & 75. City Circle trams run every 10 minutes in both directions.
Bus : The Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle is a FREE bus service for visitrs. Stopping at key tourist attractions and destinations in and around the City. Runs daily, every 15-mins from 10:00am to 4:00pm
Train : The Aquarium is a short walk from either Flinders St or Southern Cross train stations.
Car Parking : While there is no public car parking at Melbourne Aquarium, there are several public car parking facilities available only a short walk away.
